Know Your Rights & Constitutional Observer Training

This training is designed for community members — no legal background required — who want to feel more confident, informed and prepared to look out for one another.

What actually happens if you’re stopped by police? What are your rights if you are at a rally, community event, or just walking in your neighborhood? How can regular neighbors safely observe and document what’s happening in public spaces? Get answers to these questions and more. Sign up is required, on a first come, first served basis.

We will also be collecting mutual aid items to support local efforts in partnership with Iglesia Viña. See details and a list of most needed items below.

Mutual Aid Drive

Please consider bringing items to donate. We will also be accepting cash donations. If you don’t plan to attend the training but would like to support the mutual aid effort, you’re welcome to drop off donations at St. John’s between 5:30 and 7:00 PM.   • Baby diapers

  • Boxes for distribution (ideal size: 18 x 14 x 12)
