Reimagine Linwood Park

About the Project

Linwood Park was last updated in 1992. It is a rare example of preserved open space right in our neighborhood. The Summit Hill Association, along with St. Paul Parks and Recreation, are embarking on a year-long plan to redesign the space for 21st Century use. Imagine what it could be like!

  • New Safe, Nature Inspired Playground for Multiple Ages

  • Graded, Accessible Landscaping

  • Pickleball Courts

  • Walking Trail

  • More Tree Cover for Shade in Summer and Increased Wildlife Habitat

  • Bandshell Amphitheater for Live Performances

  • Re-done Basketball and Tennis Courts

  • Accessible Raised Beds in the Community Garden

Community Open House Draws Over 100 People

The neighborhood came out in force on Monday, August 7th for our community Open House! Next up: getting a community volunteer group established to plan further engagement, check out existing park and play spaces for inspiration, and work with Parks & Rec on next steps for the project. Email reimaginelinwood@summithillassociation.org to get involved!
