We are working in your District to repair Summit Court and stabilize the slope below the road.
Why is this Work Happening?
Erosion occurred along a steep slope in August, damaging a portion of Summit Court. Temporary measures were taken to maintain road access at that time. A contractor is now prepared to begin more permanent repair work.
How will the Project Impact Me?
Parking will be restricted on Summit Court while the Contractor and City perform initial tests to determine the best long term solution for stabilizing the slope. We anticipate that parking could be restricted as early as the end of this week, or beginning next week. While parking is restricted, the road will remain open for local traffic during this test phase.
After the test phase, Summit Court will be closed to traffic and parking while the contractor performs the on-site work. Summit Lane and Lawton Street will remain open as well as sidewalks on Summit Court. The Summit Court closure is expected to last 4 to 8 weeks. All work will occur within City right-of-way, and should be completed by the end of November.
We understand that the closure of Summit Court will be an inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we make this unexpected repair.
