Pedestrian Safety & Traffic Calming Committee
Committee Goal:
The Pedestrian Safety & Traffic Calming Committee implements projects to improve pedestrian safety and calm traffic within our neighborhood. Our members include neighborhood residents and business representatives. We meet monthly to advocate for our goals using the 3Es – engineering (in cooperation with the St. Paul Department of Public Works), enforcement (in cooperation with the St. Paul Police Department), and education (in cooperation with citizens, other district councils, Grand Avenue Business Association, and pedestrian advocacy non-profits). We recently sponsored Grand Avenue Pedestrian Safety Awareness Week and welcome ideas for future projects.
