Communications & Outreach

Committee Goal:

The District 16/Summit Hill Association Communications & Outreach Committee’s areas of focus include internal and external communications through The Summit newsletter, E-news, summithillassociation.org and facebook, as well as coordinating outreach activities and events to generate on-going citizen participation in District 16. Recent projects include updating the New Neighbor Welcome Booklets, partnering with Grand Avenue’s Grand Meander and revamping the Association’s “Annual Meeting” to include a volunteer appreciation and social.

Meetings held each month at the Linwood Rec Center Sr Lounge, 860 St. Clair Ave.

  • 2011 Neighborhood Communications Projects

Accomplishments:

  • Since 1980: Serve in advisory capacity to Staff publishing and mailing of The Summit bimonthly newsletter to all homes and businesses;
  • Created the SHA website at with information on the Summit Hill Association, neighborhood and city resources and more at www.summithillassociation.org
  • Revised/Improved the SHA Welcome New Neighbor Booklet

Current Projects:

  • Serve in advisory capacity to assess & improve the SHA Website
  • Serve in advisory capacity to assess & improve SHA E-News messaging
  • Promote expansion of community members receiving SHA E-News alerts

Ongoing Projects:

  • Serve in advisory capacity in the Staff publishing/mailing of The Summit bimonthly newsletter
  • Serve in advisory capacity to Staff updating and maintainence of the SHA website
  • Distribute Welcome Booklet through office and website
