About SHA’s Parking Committee | |
| Committee Goal: | Work with residents and businesses in the neighborhood to develop a parking plan that provides safe access to public and private spaces while limiting traffic on residential streets. | |
| Parking Goals from the District 16 Plan: |
Promote transit use, recapture ridership, and serve the transit-dependent by matching transit service with travel need. Encourage shared parking agreements. Provide adequate off-street parking for all residential and commercial uses, in a manner that respects the historic character of the neighborhood. Retain and expand existing commercial and residential parking. Find alternatives for employee parking where customer demand is high. Improve customer and visitor awareness of parking options for Grand Ave. Discourage building removal for parking.
